Baba Palace - A Heritage Hotel, Udaipur

Location was great, staff was helpful. Room was small for 3 adults and felt very basic. But still value for money.Not accessible through taxi as the approaching roads are narrow. Better use Autos instead of taxi.

It needed a deeper clean, for example doors, windows, corners, furniture.Shower was tricky as bathroom was a wet room but impossible not to soak the whole floor/place (water didn't really drain away).Fridge hadn't been cleaned.

Nice location and helpful staff. Good rooftop restaurant. Room was big and comfortable.

Earplugs are a must as the hotel is in a busy area.

A beautiful building with an amazing roof restaurant and view, where we had the best view of the holi celebrations. The room was very very comfortable as well. Enjoyed our stay here:)

It was a comfortable stay @ Baba Palace. Bathroom basin needed some maintenance work. Location is really good.

Improve a little on the bathroom hardware

A centrally located hotel with quite big rooms, good breakfast at a beautiful roof terrace overlooking Jagdish temple and a kind and very helpful staff who answered immediately at all our needs included transportation to the airport at honest price. A real bargain!

It's a fantastic, treasure of a hotel . I first visited Udaipur in 2017, falling in love with the temple. To be able to stay opposite in this wonderful hotel was a great experience. I enjoyed my breakfast looking at the temple in the sunshine and my evening meal with the temple lit up .Room perfect for me and kindly gave me a kettle for my morning coffee .The best bed , quilt and Pillows ever . I stayed 6 days and I've been so happy here. It's such a wonderful location Was able to get my laundry done as well .Restaurant staff a so friendly and helpful

For me nothing .I loved everything

The room was large and bright. There is a nice roof-top restaurant, with fine views. The breakfast is good. The hotel is very central and has a charming atmosphere. The staff are pleasant.

The bathroom needs renovation. The shower does not drain properly and to obtain hot water it is necessary to fill and empty two large buckets into the lavatory.

We were there for New Years. Extremely lively location right in front of the hotel.

If you’re looking to be in the heart of Udaipur, Baba Palace is a great option — charming, and right next City Palace. The staff was great — really enjoyed the rooftop breakfasts served up by Shoorveer!

Probably one of the most comfortable sleeps I have had in this trip! Love the clean sheets and reasonable pillows! The reception staff was very accommodating in helping me select the right room option. The restaurant on the 4th floor terrace offers a great view of the busy intersection below and the Jagdish temple. Breakfast included in the room rate was quite fine!

- Considering its “premium” accommodation status, the hotel would benefit from better maintenance and general housekeeping (to fix issues such as rotten bathroom door, toilet bowl needing thorough brushing/clean, spiderweb on walls, etc.). - The additional credit card payment surcharge of 2.5% needs to be made very clear in email correspondence to guests.The above comments are just areas for improvement. The issue below is significant in my book: - The restaurant manager was kind enough in offering me some sandwiches and fruits as breakfast to take with me for my 7am departure (it needs to be mentioned that breakfast at the hotel starts from 8am, with staff starting their shifts at 7am). He even followed up with a phone call for assurance. I also talked with another restaurant staff the night before to ensure the breakfast would be available for me to collect at 7am. I was very well aware that they did me a favour. Yet, at 7am the next morning, I went up to the restaurant to collect the breakfast pack, but it was not there. The only kitchen staff on shift did not know anything about it! While I appreciated the favour (and would have been fine had the restaurant said no to earlier breakfast arrangement), I would always have issues with unkept promises. It pains me to downgrade my personal overall rating of my stay at Baba Palace from 9 to just 7 because of this.

The best part of the stay is location, it is at the centre of all major places.The people are very friendly and will go beyond duty to help. I had left my sweater and they couriered to my place.

The prices could have been a bit less.

Location was good as everything was near for shopping, transport.

Check out timing has to be 12 pm, breakfast menu has to be increased.

At first the noise from the temple right across the street drove me to distraction (05:45!!!) but got used to it.

Location is very near to City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Bagora ki Haveli.

It is OK for my requirement.

Even if the hotel is not in front of the lake, you have fantastic views of the main temple. It might be a bit noisy when the street gets really busy but it is very nice to have that atmosphere when you are having breakfast or food. Facilities are fine, nothing fancy but good enough to give you a good sleep and recover.
